Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

The Labyrinth journal accepts contributions in English, German and French. The articles should not be longer than 10,000 words (50'000 characters), if not authorized buy the editors. Articles in two parts may also be accepted if every part is independently intelligible. The bookreviews should not be longer than 2000 words (10,000 characters).

Each article should be submitted with an abstract in English of 100-150 words and 5 keywords, both at the beginning of the article.

Each author should also provide a separate file with a brief bio-bibliographical note including institutional affiliation, main areas of research and most significant publications (150-300 words). NB: Labyrinth welcomes young reserachers, but it is not a students journal.

Articles will not be accepted nor published unless an abstract, 5 keywords, and a bio are provided.

The manuscript must be supplied already proofread and in electronic format as a Microsoft Word document. All citiations should be made as INLINE citations providing the References as an A-Z list at the end of the paper. Brief footnotes are allowed only as explanations and should not be provided as Endnotes, but as Footnotes.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).


  2. The submission is of a proofread file in Microsoft Word document file format.
  3. All references should be made as INLINE citations providing the References as a A-Z list at the end of the paper. Brief footnotes are allowed only as explanations. The papers should follow the MLA Citation Style fomat

    Where available, URLs for the references have been provided and checked for errors.

  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, NO underlining!!! (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points as IMAGES (jpg, gif, png).
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
 

Copyright Notice

The copyright holder hereby grants to Labyrinth and Axia Academic Publishers his/hers copyrights for 2 years after publication and the exclusive right to publish the contribution in the Journal including any supplementary materials that support the online version and to deal with reprint requests from third parties. Articles and studies published in Labyrinth may be reprinted/included at any time in other collective works of Axia Academic Publishers as well as translated and published in other languages.
